Week 4: February 10–17
Share the Love
We call the Thirty Days of Love a “spiritual journey for social justice” because making the world a better place requires centering ourselves, connecting with others, and examining where we have been and would like to go. As the Thirty Days culminates with Valentine’s Day—our National Standing on the Side of Love Day, a holiday of social justice—join us in sharing the love that speaks to our core values.
The Month Ahead
Saturday, February 16
“Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred
darkens life; love illuminates it.”
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Daily Action:
Over the last month, you have participated in daily actions to bring a bit of love and justice to your community. You have called for civil discourse in the halls of Congress, learned about mass incarceration, stepped outside the gender binary, advocated for compassionate immigration reform, and so much more. But is standing on the side of love limited to the Thirty Days of Love?
We don’t think so! Today, make a resolution to “share the love” all year long. What are you going to do to stand on the side of love in the next year? Click here to share your love resolution.
Action for Families:
Think of one thing you can do all year long to bring more love and justice to the world. Write it down!
