Week 1: January 19–26
Honoring Legacy
We begin our Thirty Days of Love with a commitment to sustained action and service, anchored in our commemoration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This is a time to lift up those who paved the trail ahead of us—the change-makers whose leadership and inspiration inform our own worldviews and transformed our society into a more loving place. Join us in redoubling our commitment to honor these heroic legacies through our own justice-making.
The Month Ahead
Saturday, January 26
“If LOVE is the prevailing theology, then answers on immigration, the death penalty, war, the environment and yes, sexuality, all become very clear. Enter each day committed to stand on the side of love.”
– Rev. Debra Haffner
Daily Action:
We’ve spent the last week honoring the legacy of the justice-seekers that came before us. Today, reflect on what aspects of the campaign have spoken to you the most so far, share that reflection with a family member or friend, and encourage them to join in.
Help us build the movement for a more loving future. Ask others–your family, friends, colleagues, and internet pals–to join us on this spiritual journey for social just and take to Thirty Days of Love pledge.
Action for Families:
Make a poster with your child about your faith, standing on the side of love, and justice. Display it where other people can see.
