Harnessing Love’s Power
to Stop Oppression

Week 4: February 10–17

Share the Love

We call the Thirty Days of Love a “spiritual journey for social justice” because making the world a better place requires centering ourselves, connecting with others, and examining where we have been and would like to go. As the Thirty Days culminates with Valentine’s Day—our National Standing on the Side of Love Day, a holiday of social justice—join us in sharing the love that speaks to our core values.

The Month Ahead

Sunday, February 10

“Love is all we have, the only way that each can help the other.”
– Eurpides

Daily Action:

As we embark on our final week of the Thirty Days of Love, start the journey of “sharing the love” by loving yourself first. We invite you to be especially kind to your own soul today, in order to be better able to share the love with others throughout this week.

Also, get ready for National Standing on the Side of Love Day (on Thursday the 14th) and Share the Love Sunday (on Sunday the 17th)! If your congregation is planning an event, make sure you add it to our map here and use our media resources to get the word out in your community.

Not part of a congregation or belong to a congregation that’s not participating? Never fear! There are tons of cool ways that you or your family can participate as individuals.

Also, it’s never too late to take a Share the Love Sunday collection to support our work!

Action for Families:

Make a covenant banner with your child. Get a large piece of paper and write a covenant on it. Help your child illustrate it and hang it in a visible place!
