  1. Our Dearest Susan,

We heard you speak so passionately for human dignity, compassion and love at GA and you have moved us to realize this is not a state or Latino issue. Thank you for your leadership, your self sacrifice and humility in this struggle. We stand strong with you and the others imprisioned tonight. Please take strength in the fact that you are not alone. You are held in our hearts until your release when we resume the fight together, arm in arm.

    With all our love,
    UU Congregation at Shelter Rock

  4. Paula says:

The struggle to create understanding for those who stnad strongly for what they preceeive as the law is one of our uphill battles. Remarks like,”Why are people from New York involved in our state’s laws?” echo on the news and in the streets. Making them understnad the danger in dthis an other laws of discrimination against any “different” group is an assult on all Americans, just remember Nazi Germany, the American enternment camps of Italian Americans, German Americans and Japaneses Americans.

    Thank You!

  7. Melissa T. Smith says:

We in Youngstown, OH are SO proud of you! You got UUYO our start as a “Welcoming Congregation,” among other things. When I served on the ministerial search committee a year ago (culminating in our successful hire of Matt Alspaugh as “Consulting Minister”), I realized to what an extent the Rust Belt has joined the avant-garde of social issues — thanks largely to the leadership of people like you in our community, and your personal-professional-political magnetism as it brought people together in its stand “On the Side of Love”!
